Are you aware that the NCT runs postnatal courses now with specialist workers that deal with some of the issues raised in this leaflet?
Postnatal Leaders have been taught by the NCT and gain a diploma in facilitation to run courses based around group discussions of parents (usually mums) about the issues they face during the transition to parenthood.
Some postnatal leaders have links with the Children Centres and some with the NHS but it would be useful if the NHS considered using leaders across the country to run discussion groups and reach more parents.
